Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the job of Nutrition Services Transporter II is transporting food, supplies, volume commodities, money, mail and nutrition services equipment within the District and performing tasks relating to the preparation, serving and sale of food within the District.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience (paid or volunteer) that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the typical duties.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Pre-employment testing and assessment to demonstrate minimum qualifications required for the position.
Valid California Class C driver license and a record of driving history issued by the California DMV. The record of driving history must be issued by the DMV less than 30 days prior to applying for the position. The record must be submitted at time of application. To obtain the report, please visit:

Employees hired in this classification will be enrolled in the DMV Employee Pull Notice Program. The District will receive a driver record report at least once every twelve (12) months or when any subsequent conviction, failure to appear, accident, driver’s license suspension, revocation, or any other action is taken against the employee’s driving privilege during employment.
Current San Diego County food handler card (or other food handler card deemed equivalent by the District). The food handler card must be submitted at time of application.

Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in the following examinations: Performance Test, weight: 50% and Qualifications Appraisal Interview, weight: 50%
The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as dual certification: candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the exams are placed on an eligibility list. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months. This vacancy is open until filled.
If a candidate has taken the multiple choice and/or performance test for this San Dieguito Union High School District job title or similar job title within the past two years, candidate may be able to transfer the scores to this recruitment. The exam must be sufficiently similar, as determined by the Director, Classified Personnel. Prior to the application deadline, a request to transfer score(s) should be e-mailed to: barbara.bass@sduhsd.net. Transferring of exam scores does not apply to a Qualifications Appraisal Interview.

Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance.
The probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer.
