Job Summary
A Nutrition Services Assistant performs routine duties such as setup, serving, cleaning, basic food assembly, and operating a point of sale terminal. When schools are functioning in a distance learning environment, meals are available for pickup. Whether operating in an on-site or distance learning environment, the District has an ongoing need for substitutes.
Requirements / Qualifications
Substitute assignments are available at all school sites throughout the district. Substitutes have the option to indicate the school sites in which they are available to work. Substitutes must pass a drug, alcohol and tuberculin skin test as well as a fingerprint/background check. Appointments for clearances will be made in conjunction with human resources staff. Fees for clearances for substitute Nutrition Services Assistants are paid directly by the District or reimbursed at the end of the clearance process. The following document is required for this position: Food Handler's Certificate (Current Food Handler's Card from San Diego County must be attached.)
